Do we need to care about privacy protection in Internet? Am I safe in Internet? Whether my identity is protected while I am on-line? How to fight with spam? How should I act while browsing Internet the same time benefiting from the offered possibilities and keeping my privacy safe? Whether new technologies will help me to protect my identity on the Internet? Why the protection of privacy is so important building the consumers’ confidence? Whether it is possible to protect privacy on the Internet? Whether my personal data are safe me buying goods/services on-line?

Conference purpose:

To familiarize the participants of the Conference with the most topical issues of data protection, especially in the E-Commerce context.

To address the attention to the huge Internet influence to all spheres of society life and related with that the protection of privacy.

Audience: 

Banks, the companies engaged in e-commerce and e-business, information technologies specialists, institutions which their public services moved to the electronic space, the software producers, other companies and agencies which are interested in this topic.

Speakers:

The presentations will be given by the specialist from the State Data Protection Inspectorate, representatives from other institutions of the Republic of Lithuania, from Latvia, Germany, Belgium and other countries.               

The presentations will be given in Lithuanian and English languages (with synchronous translation in Lithuanian and English).
